The National Council Licensure Examination, more popularly known as NCLEX is a nationwide examination for medical licensing in the United States and Canada.

The NCLEX examination for Canada is under the guidance of an institution named National Council of States Boards of Nursing, Inc., or NCSBN Inc. which also holds 12 regulatory bodies namely:

This standardized test is use to determine if a candidate is ready for an entry-level nurse in Canada.

NCLEX® RN Canada Exam Step-by-step procedure:

The NCLEX-RN Application in Canada usually consists of the following phases:

  1. Choosing the right Nursing Regulatory Body to apply based on the candidate's qualifications
  2. National Nursing Assessment Service (NNAS) Credential Evaluation Phase
  3. Registration – Authorization to Test (ATT) Phase
  4. Exam Scheduling

IMPORTANT REMINDER:  

There are various nursing regulatory bodies in Canada and each of them has a different set of requirements, regulations, and fees. One international candidate may qualify to one state while another applicant may not depending on their level of education, work experience and so much more.
