What is Visa Screening® ?

The VisaScreen®: Visa Credentials Assessment Service is a screening program that requires specific health care professionals to complete a screening program before they can receive either a permanent or temporary occupational visa.

The service includes an educational review, licensure review, English language proficiency assessment and the passing of one of two approved examinations for registered nurses (the CGFNS Qualifying Exam® or NCLEX-RN®), once all elements of the assessment are successfully completed, you will make a VisaScreen certificate. Health care professionals who successfully complete VisaScreen® will receive an ICHP VisaScreen® certificate, which can be presented to a consular officer or, in the case of visa status adjustment, the Attorney General as part of a visa application.

What is the Purpose of VisaScreen®?

Section 343 of the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act (the IIRIRA) of 1996 requires specific health care professionals to complete a screening program before they can receive either a permanent or temporary occupational visa.

FRIENDLY TIP FOR NCLEX PASSERS and CGFNS Qualifying Exam PASSERS!

So it is better to for you to process your visa screen certificate as soon as possible once you passed the NCLEX exam or the CGFNS Qualifying Exam, because you will have more leverage to negotiate your terms with the U.S Employers and pay less placement fee or other fees.
