⚠️ Verify before you act
These dates are accurate as of the date above. Visa Bulletin dates change monthly and can move backward with little warning. Always confirm against the official bulletin at travel.state.gov before making any decision affecting your job, your finances, or your family.

This Month at a Glance

The Final Action Date moved forward, while the Dates for Filing retrogressed significantly. For adjustment of status, USCIS continues to use the Final Action Dates chart, but applicants should remain prepared because visa availability can change.

What Changed

There is positive movement in the Final Action Date, but the Dates for Filing chart moved significantly backward.

What the State Department Said

The State Department cautioned that high demand for EB-3 Philippines could lead to future retrogression or temporary unavailability. Visa availability will continue to be monitored based on demand and annual limits

What This Means for Your Case

The EB-3 Philippines Final Action Date advanced by 14 days, from August 1, 2023 to August 15, 2023.

  • If your priority date is on or before August 15, 2023, your case may be eligible for final action, subject to all other requirements and visa availability.

  • USCIS is using the Final Action Dates chart for adjustment of status (AOS), so the Dates for Filing date does not determine AOS filing eligibility for this month.

  • Because the State Department has cautioned about possible future retrogression or unavailability, applicants should continue preparing and monitor the Visa Bulletin closely.

Standing Reminders

Your priority date does not change when the bulletin moves — see Your Priority Date Is Safe. The two charts govern different things — see Final Action Dates vs Dates for Filing. And for the practical checklist during the wait, see What to Do While You Wait.
