English Exams

NCLEX USA

NCLEX AUSTRALIA

In the US, not all Boards of Nursing require an English exam for non-native English language speakers.

IELTS (International English Language Testing System), PTE (Pearson Language Tests), and TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) are the widely accepted English exams required in some states.

English language skills are required for all nurses and midwives applying for initial registration. Nurses can meet this registration standard in one of the following ways: Your English is your primary language, English Language Test Pathway, or Extended Education Pathway. In the test pathway, applicants need to meet the minimum score requirements in any of the approved English language tests: OET, PTE Academic, TOEFL-iBT, or IELTS Academic.

ATT Validity

NCLEX USA

NCLEX AUSTRALIA

The validity dates of ATTs differ by state boards of nursing.

The NMBA has a 90 calendar days validity period for ATTs.

Exam Result

NCLEX USA

NCLEX AUSTRALIA

After taking the exam, some applicants may be able to view their unofficial NCLEX results two business days later. And your official results can only be released by the nursing regulatory body to which you applied.

Only AHPRA will release the results.

Candidates will only be informed of their results after they have been received by AHPRA within six (6) weeks after the examination sitting date. No unofficial results via Quick Results service.

Except for boards of nursing, where you must pay for issuing your license, some boards issue licenses automatically after you pass the exam. While in Australia, after passing the NCLEX and OSCE exams, you can begin the licensure registration process.

The process for taking the NCLEX USA or NCLEX Australia may seem to be confusing. To avoid mistakes, ideally, candidates must thoroughly research the complexity of the procedures. However, with NEAC as an innovative pioneer medical exam licensure application center, you don't have to worry about the process. The candidate can focus on the review without the hassle of application because NEAC is here to accomplish all necessary work for your NCLEX application at the best possible cost.

  • Hi. Thanks for info about Nclex us and Australia. Still, some queries remain.

I recently passed nclex exam for usa ( texas bon), test taken outside US. Can i apply for NMBA RN registration in Australia with current nclex result? Or do i need to give another exam separately (which will be frustrating as you said its same exam irrespective of boards of nursing ). Please clarify.

    With thanks.

  • Hello

I am a registered Nurse and graduated from Boise State University in the United States. I worked as a Registered Nurse in the US both in the States of Washington and Idaho. Having passed the NCLEX-RN and currently holding an unencumbered license to practice in Idaho,
is my NCLEX-RN from the US transferable to Australia?

    Sincerely,

    Julio, RN, BSN.
